We love to give back to the community. Drive for Charity is our way of getting the community involved with racing, contributing to our sport and helping charities along the way.
Terri Morrison
In 2023 Terri Morrison came to the management of Northside Downs with a idea to give back to the community and promote harness racing.
Getting the idea from another track, Terri got to work and found sponsor and charities for a driving challenge.
The top 10 driver were teamed up with 10 companies in the community and every win that driver had in the scheduled time frame, money was donated to a charity in the community.

President’s Award
The President’s award is chosen based on the person/s that goes above and beyond for our sport in harness racing.
The recipient this evening is being recognized for her involvement in bringing a new light to Northside Downs in the way of bringing our local community groups and business sponsors together to our track. It, at the same time, it allowed us to give back to our surrounding communities
Terri Morrison spearheaded our 2023 Drive for Charity. She put her feet to the ground and joined forces between our drivers, local businesses and charities of choice.
The top 10 drivers were matched up with a business sponsor who donated $10 for every win on their 2023 season. At the end of the season the banked monies were then donated to local charities.
Each week, the updated money were tallied and printed in our race program which gave our fans a chance to follow our drivers win stats, gave business owners some publicity and drew attention to some of the local charities.
